Neuroblastoma Assay: Discovery / Preclinical Development
Our lead therapeutic program is a neuroblastoma assay used for
screening compounds for disease-modifying potential in AD. This assay
directly tests the effects of compounds on the cell cycle in neurons.
We offer research collaborations with drug development companies to
provide or develop therapeutic screens and clinical trial tools based
on
our biomarkers for the screening of new chemical entities or the
repositioning of drugs already approved for other (non-AD) indications
for the treatment of AD.
R&D applications of our neuroblastoma screening assay include:
• New chemical entities ( high-throughput screening of compound libraries);
• Approved drugs under consideration for repositioning for an AD
indication; and
• Approved AD drugs ( for better definition of mechanism of action)
Our neuroblastoma assay is available to support R&D as a service
provided by Cytox under agreements with AD drug development
companies for client- or Cytox-proposed projects or as a research kit.
