Clinical Diagnostics

Our diagnostic assays can speed and reduce the cost of diagnosis in people with AD, increase the certainty of the AD diagnosis, and assess the risk of developing dementia in people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). They can also guide patient-drug selection for improved drug response in clinical trials and in practice as companion diagnostic or theragnostic tests.

From early 2009, our biomarkers will be validated and we will provide biomarker assay services commercially to the biopharmaceutical industry for use in preclinical and clinical development. In parallel to providing these services, we will seek regulatory approval of products incorporating our biomarkers, first as research kits, then as companion diagnostic tests, and finally as clinical diagnostic predictors of AD risk.
